The sea dominates their favorite hide-away, their summer and their lives. Miles and miles of tranquil beaches are fragrant with heather, dune grasses, and sea air. Cycling in Denmark’s relatively flat countryside is popular. Their excellent cycle maps cover over 12,000 kilometers of sign-posted cycle routes pointing out museums, castles, and interesting little villages. Campgrounds are convenient to public transportation, historic areas, and beaches. Driving through Denmark, you are impressed by a rural tranquility. Roadways are excellent and well signposted.
